Free save-the-date

Your invitation isn't a card. It's a page that opens.

Your guests tap once and the doors swing open: your names, your photo, the countdown to the day. The save-the-date goes out for free – as a link for the family chat or a QR code on a printed card. Once everything is settled, you add the full invitation at the very same address: venue, schedule, dress code, seating and RSVP.

Which design do you like?

No credit card – Sent within 10 minutes

Printed invitations are expensive, final — and silent.

The venue changes, the time shifts, directions turn out to be trickier than you thought: on paper every one of those is a reprint. And you still won't know who is coming until you start ringing round. A digital invitation takes ten seconds to change — and it collects the answers for you.

Sent in three steps

No designer, no appointment at the printers, no waiting.

1

Pick a design

27 designs — from a ballroom to an enchanted garden to a picture palace. Each with its own entrance, its own typefaces and its own music. One click and the preview is there.

2

Add your words

Names, date, venue, schedule, dress code. Never a blank page: one click fills every field with example text you simply rewrite in your own words.

3

Send the link

A short link for WhatsApp, a QR code for the printed save-the-date card. Both lead to the same page – and it stays the same page even when you add the full invitation later.

Why guests look at it twice

An invitation is allowed to feel like a moment rather than a form.

The moment before they read

Instead of a page that is simply there, your guests first stand in front of closed doors. One tap and the camera pushes through them — onto your names, your photo, your date. Every design has its own entrance: a ballroom door, a garden gate, a stage curtain.

A whole page, not a card

Below the cover it keeps going: a taste of your photos, the schedule with every time slot, venue and directions, the dress code, who sits where – and the RSVP at the very bottom. That is the full invitation, and it is part of the paid plans. What goes live for free is the save-the-date: entrance, names, date and countdown.

You build it yourself — and watch it happen

Your real invitation sits next to the form as a live preview. Switch designs, type, turn a section on: everything appears instantly on the phone beside you. Building and previewing the complete invitation costs nothing – you decide only afterwards how much of it goes live for your guests.

27 designs. No template feeling.

Every design is its own piece of work — not the same layout in a different color. Its own artwork, its own typefaces, its own movement.

  • Its own entrance. Doors, gates, curtains — each design opens in its own way.
  • Its own typefaces. Curated pairings of serif, script and sans, chosen to suit the occasion.
  • Paper and finish. Smooth, grain or linen; ornaments as lozenge, filigree or leaf; letterpress ink, foil or blind emboss.

One link. The whole day.

Invitation-only services end on the wedding day. At Photogala that is where the same link starts.

Before

The invitation

Whoever opens the link sees your invitation – free as a save-the-date with names, date and countdown, later in full with venue, schedule and RSVP.

On the day

The gallery

From the morning of your date the same address leads into the photo gallery. Your guests get nothing new – they open the link they have had all along and upload their pictures. How many guests and photos it holds depends on your plan.

Afterwards

The memory

Every guest's photos in one place, with your thank-you note. Anyone who saved the invitation finds the whole day waiting at exactly the same address.

That is precisely why the QR code on the save-the-date is worth printing: it outlives the party.

What is waiting behind the doors

The countdown is part of the free save-the-date. Every other section belongs to the full invitation: you can build and preview them any time, they go live with a plan. Each section can be switched on and off individually – and added later without ever changing the link.

Printed card with a QR code to the digital invitation

One destination, many ways in

The link is short enough for a printed card and works in every messenger.

  • QR code included. Ready to print on save-the-dates, posters or place cards.
  • Two languages at once. Every text can be stored in German and English – guests automatically see their own language. Multilingual events are part of the Premium plan.
  • Matching print. Design invitation cards, place cards and menus right in the Design Studio; the print-ready templates come with the Plus plan and up.

Your guests open a link — not an account

The invitation is the first thing your guests see of your celebration. It should ask nothing of them.

No sign-up

The invitation opens without registration — and without quietly creating a guest account in the background.

No third-party services

The typefaces are served from our own machines rather than Google's, and no advertising tracker runs on the invitation.

Servers in the EU

Your data sits on European servers — GDPR-compliant, with no detour through third countries.

Digital invitation — frequently asked questions

What does the digital invitation cost?
The save-the-date costs nothing: the entrance, your names, your date, your photo and the countdown – shared as often as you like. The full invitation with venue, schedule, dress code, seating and RSVP is part of the paid plans, which also include the photo gallery for the day itself. You can design and preview all of it beforehand. One payment, no subscription.
Can we still change the invitation later?
Any time, and the link stays the same. Change the time, the venue or the schedule and every guest sees the new version immediately — including the ones who scanned the QR code months ago.
Do our guests need an app or an account?
No. The invitation opens in any browser. Nobody is asked to sign up, and no guest account is created in the background.
Can we start with a save-the-date?
That is exactly how it is meant to work. The scope starts on “Save the date”: the page shows the entrance, your names, the date and the countdown, and that is the free part. Once you know more, a plan switches the remaining sections on – no new link, no new card.
How do we send the invitation out?
As a link in WhatsApp, a text message or an email — or as a QR code on a printed card. Both lead to the same page.
Does it work for guests from abroad?
Yes. Every text can be stored in German and English, and your guests automatically see their own language. Running two languages at once is part of the Premium plan.
Can guests RSVP through the invitation?
Yes, once the full invitation is live – the RSVP sits at the end of it. Answers land straight in your guest list, including menu choice, plus-ones and dietary needs.
What happens to the link after the celebration?
It then leads into your photo gallery. Anyone who saved the invitation or photographed the QR code finds the pictures of the day and your thank-you note in the very same place.
What exactly is included in the free save-the-date?
The entrance with its doors, the cover with your names and your date, and the countdown – in any of the 27 designs, with music, your own link and a QR code. Any number of guests may open the page. What is not included is everything that comes after: venue, schedule, dress code, photo teaser, seating, song requests and the RSVP.
Can we try the full invitation first?
Yes. Every section can be filled in, designed and previewed without a plan – so you see exactly what you get. You only pay when the full version should go live for your guests.

Send something that opens.
