Each quiz runs as a live show, anytime or both. The two keep separate rankings, because without a clock there is no speed bonus.

    With a seating plan, tables play against each other. It counts points per head, so a big table has no advantage.

    Faster answers earn more, a streak of right answers adds a bonus, single questions can count double or not at all. With gallery points (Premium), quiz points also land on the gallery leaderboard.

  • Test play and results

    Play your quiz yourself before guests see it – nothing is saved. Afterwards every round is in the results, and you can remove a player with one click.

Guests with different languages? Questions and answers can be translated per event language.

A live quiz is a guessing game for everyone in the room: the question appears on a projector or TV, guests answer on their own phones, and after each question the result and the standings appear on the screen.

With Photogala the quiz is part of your event gallery. Guests join through the same QR code or link as for the photos – no app, no game PIN – and see the question and every answer on their phone.

If you don't want a show on stage, set the quiz to “anytime”: guests then play it alone on their phone whenever it suits them, with a leaderboard of its own.

Questions about the live quiz

1Do guests need an app or a PIN?
No. Guests scan the QR code on the big screen or tap “Play along” in the gallery. They pick a name once – it is shown on the screen during the quiz.
2What do I need for the live show?
A laptop on a projector or TV. You run the show from the host desk and put the screen view in full screen. If your package includes the photo wall (from Plus), you can also open the photo wall – it shows the show with the QR code as soon as the lobby is open.
3How many guests can play?
The quiz is included in every package; the number of players per round depends on it: 20 in Starter, 75 in Plus, 250 in Premium and unlimited in Deluxe. Anyone who doesn't get a place can still guess along on the screen.
4Which kinds of questions are there?
Multiple choice with 2 to 4 answers, true/false, estimate questions (the closest guess gets the most points) and polls without points. Any question can show a photo. A quiz holds up to 50 questions, an event up to 20 quizzes.
5How are points counted?
In the live show, a right answer is worth up to 1,000 points – the faster, the more. By default, an immediate answer gets 1,000 and one at the last second 500. Right answers in a row add a streak bonus of up to 400. Single questions can count double or not at all. In anytime mode there is no clock: every right answer counts in full.
6Can tables play against each other?
Yes. With a seating plan, guests pick their table when joining (pre-filled from the plan). The table score is the average per head, so table size doesn't matter. It starts once enough tables have at least two players.
7Can I try the quiz before the party?
Yes. With “Test play” you go through your quiz yourself – it doesn't count, nothing is saved and guests notice nothing. After the party you see every round in the results.
8What does the quiz look like?
Like your event: colours, fonts and logo come from your event settings. You choose a dark or light big screen and a mood – calm, lively or wild. Questions can be translated for multilingual events.
