Cards on the table — or tasks on the phone?
Both get guests to photograph the evening. The difference only shows once the evening is running, and once it is over.
Where cards and disposable cameras are better
A printed card sits on the table and gets seen. It needs no phone, no venue signal, no battery and no paid plan — and the guest without a smartphone still takes part. A disposable camera keeps shooting when there is not a single bar of signal left in the room. With us, everything depends on someone opening the link, and exactly the part this page is about is not in the free plan: photo tasks, points, achievements and the leaderboard start at Premium (69 €). And one objection we find uncomfortable: tasks steer the photography. Working through a list produces more posed shots and more silly faces — and may well miss the quiet scene at the next table that no task asked for. If all you want is a few photo ideas on the tables, and you can do without points, ranking and a breakdown, printed cards are the cheaper and simpler option.

The guest taps a task
At the top of the phone it says “Your tasks” with your own progress in percent. Below it runs the list of currently available tasks, each with an example picture: “Find someone wearing an outfit with lots of glitter”, “Catch a dancing couple mid-spin”, “Team win! Celebrate yourselves with a winner pose”. Tapping a card opens the “Solve a task” step with the example picture, a switch to a different task and the buttons “Upload images” and “Take photo”. Right at the bottom sits “Upload without a task” — anyone not in the mood for games just uploads.
Import tasks instead of inventing them
In the admin area the button “Import templates” opens the “Photo challenges” catalogue. The tasks sit in categories such as “Group photo roulette” or “Memes & fun”, each one expandable, each with its own “Select all” and a search field above. You tick what suits your celebration, and “Add selected” drops the tasks into your list. The only thing you have to write yourself is what matters to you personally.
Set the points before anyone gets up
The task manager has three tabs: Tasks, Achievements and Points configuration. In the task list every task appears with a thumbnail and the number of photos already received, next to Filter, “Reorder” and “Print tasks”. The Points configuration tab defines how many points an image upload, a completed task and a like are worth, and whether solving a task a second time gives the full amount. The note there is honestly worded: changes apply to future actions, points already awarded are not adjusted retroactively.
Your own rank sits at the top
The leaderboard shows the guest themselves first: current rank, own points and how many points are missing to first place. Below that comes “Top uploaders” with names, bars and scores, with your own row highlighted and marked “You”. The selector above switches the ranking — instead of points, for example solved tasks, uploaded images or likes received — and the circular button next to it reloads the standing.
Achievement unlocked, drink redeemed
After the upload, a card with a trophy appears on the guest's home screen announcing a redeemable achievement. Tapping “Redeem now” opens the reward with confetti — in this recording “Free drink at the bar”, with the condition that triggered it underneath and the green “Confirm receipt” button that the bar staff press. The summary below keeps track of how many photo tasks are done and how many rewards are still open. Rewards with real stock exist only in the Deluxe plan.
In the evening, what got solved runs on the screen
The incoming photos do not only land in the gallery: the photo wall plays them large and fills the edges with a blurred version of the same picture instead of black bars. A QR code stays fixed in the top right with the note “Scan to view/upload”, so even the table that never got a task card joins in. One click on “Enable full screen” turns it into projector mode. One thing to be clear about: the photo wall belongs to the gallery and starts at Plus (39 €) — it is not tied to the tasks, it shows everything that gets uploaded.
