New Year's Eve Party

New Year's Eve from every angle — in one gallery instead of on thirty phones

At midnight everyone takes photos at once, and by New Year's morning nobody has anyone else's. One QR code collects the whole night's photos in one place, and the photo wall shows them while the party is still going — no app, and nobody has to post “send me your photos!”

Collect live, or chase photos on January 1st

A New Year's Eve party with forty guests. Two ways to get the photos of the night.

When the photos arrive
Photogala: during the party, before midnight
Group chat, afterwards: whenever someone remembers on New Year's Day
Who joins in
Photogala: every guest with the QR code, friends of friends included
Group chat, afterwards: only people in the group — who remember
Image quality
Photogala: original files in full resolution
Group chat, afterwards: compressed, depending on the messenger
On the screen
Photogala: live photo wall on the TV or projector
Group chat, afterwards: everyone scrolls through their own phone
Network at midnight
Photogala: often overloaded — whatever does not go through gets uploaded later
Group chat, afterwards: just as overloaded — messages get stuck too
Cost
Photogala: one-time per party, no subscription
Group chat, afterwards: free

What the group chat does better

It costs nothing, and for six friends on the sofa it is perfectly enough — you do not need a gallery for that. Photogala pays off when people celebrate who do not all know each other, when the photos should run on a screen during the night, or when you do not want to chase thirty people on New Year's morning.

How it runs on New Year's Eve

Real recordings from a live gallery — not mockups.

The photo wall runs while you celebrate

Every new photo appears on the TV or projector within seconds. Whoever comes back in from the balcony already sees everyone else's fireworks on the wall — and adds their own right away.

Scan and upload — even with cold fingers

No app, no account, no group anyone has to be added to first. The QR code on the door or the table opens the gallery in the browser, on iPhone and Android alike.

Photo challenges until midnight

“The last photo of the year”, “the whole room raising a glass”, “the first selfie of the new year” — small challenges give the night a thread, and at midnight the leaderboard shows who joined in the most.

Nothing lands on the TV unasked

Late hour, loose mood: an automatic filter holds back anything inappropriate, and if you want, you approve every photo before it is published — from your phone, without leaving the party.

On New Year's morning: everything as a ZIP

The complete gallery in full resolution, as often as you like. No messages asking “does anyone have the photo of the toast?” — it is already there.

All of this comes with your own event.

Setting it up takes five minutes. You can build and view everything before you decide.

New Year's Eve photos — common questions

Do guests need an app?
No. The QR code opens the gallery in the phone browser. No download, no account, no sign-up — even guests nobody added to a group are in straight away.
What if the network is overloaded at midnight?
It happens: at midnight everyone calls and texts at the same time. If there is Wi-Fi, put the password next to the QR code. And photos that do not go through at that moment are still on the phone — guests simply upload them later, even on New Year's Day.
Does this work for a party at home?
Yes. A laptop connected to the TV or a projector is enough for the photo wall; without a screen the gallery still collects everything. There is no minimum size — fifteen guests work just as well.
Can we keep embarrassing photos off the screen?
Yes. An automatic filter blocks explicit shots, and optionally every picture waits for approval before it shows up in the gallery or on the screen. Both can be managed from your phone during the party.
We are hosting a New Year's gala with several hundred guests — does that work?
Yes. Uploads run over the guests' own phones, mostly on their mobile data — several hundred phones are not sharing one line. Only the display device for the photo wall needs a stable connection. What each plan includes is listed on the cards below.
How long do the photos stay available?
Between three months and several years, depending on the plan; the storage period is printed on every card. You can download at any time and as often as you like — once it is on your drive it no longer depends on us.
