1How does the AI detect inappropriate content?
An AI model checks every uploaded photo and video for nudity or explicit content. If its assessment is above the level you have chosen, the upload is held back instead of appearing in the gallery. The check runs on Photogala's own servers, right during processing. The AI filter is included in the Deluxe plan.
2Can I review flagged photos before they're shown?
Yes, this is the default behavior when AI moderation is enabled. Flagged photos are automatically quarantined — they never appear in the gallery, on the photo wall, or in any shared view until you review and approve them. You can also enable full pre-approval mode where every photo (not just AI-flagged ones) requires your manual approval before becoming visible.
3How fast is the automatic detection?
The check runs while the upload is being processed, so before the photo appears in the gallery. Anything held back is seen by nobody — not even on the photo wall — until you approve it.
4Can I adjust the sensitivity?
Yes, in four levels: relaxed, moderate, strict and very strict. The level applies to the whole event and determines from which assessment an upload is held back. For corporate events, a strict level is a good choice.
5Does moderation affect the photo wall?
Yes, and this is one of the most important benefits. The live photo wall only displays photos that have passed moderation. If the AI flags a photo, it never appears on the projection screen. This protects your event from the nightmare scenario of an inappropriate image being displayed on a large screen in front of all your guests. It's the single most important reason to enable moderation for events with photo walls.
6Can I exempt trusted uploaders from approval?
Yes, through roles: uploads from moderators and anyone with higher rights appear immediately, without the queue. Access for upload devices such as a photo booth or a photographer's camera can also be set to skip approval. There is no list of individual trusted guests.
7What categories of content are detected?
The AI filter distinguishes between safe content and nudity or explicit content — for photos and videos. It does not detect other categories such as violence, weapons or memes; that is what manual approval is for.
8Can I see what has been moderated?
Yes. In the approval area you see uploads separated by status — pending, approved, rejected — plus reports from guests and banned users. There is no export as a log.
