Does the season really affect how much people drink?
Yes! In summer, guests drink more water and soft drinks and tend toward lighter beverages like beer and wine. In winter, spirits and wine consumption typically increases.
How many drinks per person should I plan for?
A general rule is 1 drink per person per hour for the first two hours, then 0.5-0.75 drinks per hour after that. Our calculator factors this in along with event type and duration.
Should I include non-alcoholic options?
Absolutely! We always include water and soft drinks in our calculations. Typically 20-30% of guests prefer non-alcoholic beverages, and everyone needs water.
What about champagne for toasts?
Toggle 'Include champagne' in the calculator. For toasts, plan one glass per guest. One bottle of champagne typically serves 6 glasses.
How much ice do I need?
