Most seating plans are drawn in a graphics app: circles for tables, text boxes for names. It looks tidy on screen and becomes worthless the moment two guests cancel and three seats have to be reassigned.

On Photogala the seating plan is connected to the guest list. You drag people onto tables instead of typing names. If someone drops out, the seat frees up — in the plan, on the printout and in the view your guests see on their phones.

The room itself is part of it: dance floor, stage, bar, entrance and buffet can all be laid out. The result is not an abstract diagram but a picture of the evening the venue can actually work from.

Seating plan questions

1How many tables and guests can it handle?
There is no practical limit — from a small party with four tables to a hall with more than a hundred.
2Can guests see where everyone else sits?
That is your call. By default a guest sees their own table; you can additionally publish the full overview.
3Do I have to seat everyone by hand?
No. Automatic seating distributes all unseated guests according to your rules, and you only correct what you don't like.
4What happens when I move tables around?
The guests stay with their tables. You are moving furniture, not names.
5Can I print the plan?
Yes, as a PDF — an overview to hang up and a table list for the service team.
6Does the guest view work without an app?
Yes. The QR code opens an ordinary web page and nobody needs an account.
7Can I collect seating wishes from guests?
Yes. Guests can name who they would like to sit next to, and those wishes appear while you plan.
8Is the plan still available after the party?
Yes, it stays part of your event — handy when somebody later asks who sat at the table next to the stage.
