Archive & Download means: after the party you get the whole gallery as a ZIP – every photo and video as the original file, not a shrunken copy. You decide whether everything lands in one folder or is sorted by album, uploader or photo task.

Most event photo platforms compress your images when you download them, or make it painfully slow to save photos one at a time. With Photogala, you get a one-click bulk download that preserves every pixel of the original upload.

How long the gallery stays online depends on the package (see above). Large galleries come in several ZIP parts so every download completes reliably – even with thousands of photos and long videos.

1Is there a limit to how many photos I can download at once?
No. You download the whole gallery in one go. Large galleries are split into ZIP parts of about 1 GB so the download stays reliable.
2Are photos compressed when I download them?
Never. Every photo and video is downloaded in its original resolution and quality. What guests uploaded is exactly what you get. No compression, no downscaling.
3Can guests download photos too?
Yes, from the Plus plan. Guests can then download individual photos straight from the gallery.
4What happens after the storage period ends?
The storage period starts with the first photo on the free plan and with the 10th photo on paid plans. When it ends, the gallery is deleted — for guests and for you. For 30 days you can bring it back yourself by extending it; after that only support can help before the data is permanently deleted. Tip: download your photos in good time before it ends — the ZIP download is included from the Plus plan.
5Can I download just one album?
Yes. You select individual photos in the gallery or narrow them down by status and download the selection in one go. In the ZIP, each album can get its own folder.
6Does the download include videos?
Yes. Videos are included in the ZIP download alongside photos. They're preserved in their original quality and format (MP4, MOV, WebM).
7Can I organize the download by who uploaded each photo?
Yes. You can group the ZIP download by uploader, creating separate folders for each guest's contributions. This is great for sending guests their own photos after the event.
8Is bulk download available on all plans?
No. The bulk ZIP download is included from the Plus plan, as is single-photo download for guests. Downloads are always in original quality.
