A gallery grid is good for sorting: many small pictures side by side so you keep the overview. It is poor for looking — for that you want one image large, without borders and without controls around it.

The slideshow is that second view. Tap a photo and it fills the screen. Swiping moves to the next one without going back to the grid.

1Does it run on a TV?
Yes. Open the gallery link on the TV or a connected computer and let the show run.
2Do new pictures appear automatically?
Not entirely on their own: when something new arrives, a notice appears and one tap brings the new photos into the show. For a fully automatic display, use the photo wall (from Plus).
3Can I set how long each picture stays?
No, each photo stays for three seconds. Display time, transitions and order can be set on the photo wall (from Plus).
4Are videos played too?
Yes, they run in the same view between the photos.
5Can I narrow down what is shown?
Yes. Gallery filters apply to the slideshow as well — one album, or one person's pictures.
6Does it need an app?
No, the slideshow is part of the gallery and runs in the browser.
7Do guests see the same show as me?
Everyone sees what is approved for them. Unapproved pictures don't appear in the slideshow either.
8Does it work on a weak connection?
Images load at a suitable size; on a poor connection it takes longer but keeps going.
