Redeeming real rewards

Some events reward active guests not just with points, but with real rewards – a drink or a small prize at the prize table, say. Such rewards are tied to achievements you unlock by joining in. This guide shows you every way to find a unlocked reward, redeem it, and present your confirmation code.

Note

Only physical rewards trigger this flow (banner, confirmation code). Purely digital or virtual achievements are not “real rewards” and appear neither in the banner nor in the Redeemable tab.

Two routes to a real prize

An event can hand out real prizes on two independent routes:

• Achievement rewards – you unlock these through activity. Meet the conditions of an achievement and you get the reward attached to it. That is the flow described on this page.
• Winner prizes – you get these for your placement at the end. The host freezes the leaderboard standing at a point in time, and the top places of each category receive a prize. That flow is described in Points & rewards.

Both can run at the same time. The redemption is similar – in both cases you end up showing the host a six-digit code – but they are separate systems: a winner code never shows up in your profile under Redeemable, and an achievement reward doesn’t disappear when the standing gets frozen.

Requirements

Three things have to come together for your event to hand out real rewards:

• The host has enabled the feature under Settings → Features (Achievements). If it is off, you will see no reward banner.
• There are achievements with a physical reward (e.g. “upload 5 photos → free drink”). Without such achievements there is nothing to redeem.
• The reward still has stock. The host can set a quantity per achievement. Once it is used up the reward counts as Out of stock and appears neither in the banner nor in the Redeemable tab. If the host leaves the quantity empty, stock is unlimited – the achievement card in your profile then reads Available: ∞.

Real rewards are a premium feature. Unlocking itself works like any achievement – see Achievements & points and Challenges.

Step 1 – How you unlock a reward

1. Build up activity: upload photos, solve challenges, collect likes and points.

2. When you meet the criteria of an achievement tied to a real reward, that achievement becomes redeemable.

3. You notice it from three signals:

   • A banner “Congratulations!” at the top of the page.
   • A notification “Achievement Unlocked!” with a “Redeemable” chip (see the bell).
   • A “N redeemable” chip in your profile.

You feel it too

On devices that support vibration, the unlock also announces itself with a short buzz – once with the notification and again when you open the achievement. For a real reward the pattern is a little more pronounced than for a purely digital achievement. On iPhones nothing happens, because Safari doesn’t support the vibration feature; the same goes for desktops and for when you have reduce motion enabled.

You now have three ways to redeem the reward. All three lead to the same redemption dialog (Step 5). Use whichever you come across.

Way A – Straight from the reward banner

As soon as a physical reward is pending, the “Congratulations!” banner appears automatically at the top of every guest page – not only right after uploading. It has exactly two buttons.

The banner sits above the page content: ① the heading “Congratulations!” with its line below, ② the “+1 more” badge – it means further rewards are still pending, ③ “Redeem Now” starts the redemption flow, ④ “Dismiss” only discards the suggestion.

1. Tap “Redeem Now” in the banner.

   • If only one reward is pending, the detail dialog opens directly (continue with Step 5).
   • If several are pending, the selection dialog “Select Achievement to Redeem” opens first. A “+N more” badge on the banner shows the count. Pick the reward you want.

2. In the selection dialog every reward carries the chip “Reward: Physical” – and next to it “Available: N”, but only if the host set a quantity. With unlimited stock that line is missing here. Tap the card you want to redeem; “Cancel” takes you back out without consequences.

With several rewards pending, this selection comes first: ① the title “Select Achievement to Redeem”, ② the chip “Reward: Physical” – that marks a real prize; next to it sits “Available: 12”, the remaining stock (missing when stock is unlimited), ③ tapping the card opens that reward's detail dialog, ④ “Cancel” closes without consequences.

Caution

The banner’s second button is “Dismiss” – and it only dismisses the banner suggestion, not the reward itself. You can safely tap “Dismiss” when you don’t want to redeem right now: the reward stays available in your profile under Redeemable. “Dismiss” does not mean “lost”.

Way B – From your profile (any time)

This is the most reliable route, independent of the banner.

1. Open your profile via the profile menu at the top right (avatar → My Profile). More on the profile page under Your profile.

2. From there four entry points lead on:

   • The amber chip “N redeemable” (gift icon) at the top of the profile header, in the row with your points and achievements – it opens the achievements dialog straight in the Redeemable tab. That is the shortest route.
   • The “Achievements” heading further down – it opens the same dialog in the Unlocked tab.
   • The “See Available Achievements” button below the achievement cards – it opens the dialog in the All tab; you then pick the Redeemable tab yourself.
   • Or tap the gold-bordered card in the Achievements section directly – that jumps straight into the detail dialog (continue with Step 5).

3. In the dialog, tap the reward card (status ribbon “Redeemable”, gold-bordered and glowing). The detail dialog opens (continue with Step 5).

The shortest route: the amber chip “2 redeemable” at the top of the profile header, right next to points and achievements. Tapping it opens the achievements dialog straight in the Redeemable tab.

The “N redeemable” chip at the top of the header opens the Redeemable tab directly; the “Redeemable Rewards” row in the stats only displays the count. ① your profile picture, ② your name with the pencil that changes the nickname, below it points, published photos and the last visit, ③ Account Settings, ④ your Task Progress.

On the left, Media engagement: 1 liked images, 2 published images, 3 received likes. On the right sits Recognition — the row “Redeemable rewards” appears there as soon as you have at least one open reward.

Note

The Redeemable tab carries the label “Redeemable” with the count in brackets. It appears only when you have at least one pending redeemable reward and it is your own profile. On other people’s profiles there is no Redeemable tab. Once you have redeemed something, a “Claimed” tab is added next to it.

Way C – From your notifications

1. Tap the bell at the top. Unread items show a dot or counter.

2. Open the notification “Achievement Unlocked!” carrying the “Redeemable” chip.

3. The detail dialog opens (continue with Step 5).

How the dialog is laid out: 1 the header with the number of unread messages, 2 filter by type, 3 an item — a like in this example; the unlocked reward appears in the same list carrying the Redeemable badge, 4 deletes the item.

Tip

In the notifications dialog you can narrow the list to achievement items with the “Achievements” filter chip. The “Redeemable” chip on an item appears only when the reward is physical, in stock and not yet claimed. More under Notifications.

Step 5 – The redemption process (same for every way)

All three ways end in the reward’s detail dialog. From here the flow is identical.

1. Check the reward: the detail dialog shows the name, image and an info box with the pickup hint. If the host wrote their own text for the reward, it appears there (e.g. “One free drink of your choice – collect it at the bar.”) and once more further down under “Additional Details”; otherwise the info box shows the default sentence “You can fetch your prize at the prize table!”. This dialog does not state a stock figure – if the reward is sold out, “Out of Stock” replaces the green button.

2. Tap the green, pulsing “Confirm Receipt” button (gift icon). This is not the same as “Redeem Now” – that one was only on the banner.

3. The warning dialog “Confirm Prize Redemption” appears: “Would you like to confirm prize receipt? This action cannot be undone.” plus a yellow hint “Please only confirm once the prize has been received.” and – if the host set one – a blue “Reward Information” box with their text.

4. Confirm with “Yes, Confirm Receipt” (brief “Confirming…” state). Changed your mind? Tap “Cancel”.

5. The success dialog “Redemption Confirmed!” appears with your confirmation code: six digits, large and in monospace – for example 418207. Optionally copy it with “Copy Code” (turns into “Copied!”). Below it sits the reminder to keep the code, plus the Reward Details once more.

6. Show the code to the host (or at the photo booth). On the host’s side the check runs through Redeeming rewards.

7. Finish with “Close”.

One time only and irreversible

Confirm the redemption only once you are standing with the host or at the photo booth. After confirming, the reward cannot be redeemed again. If you confirmed too early by mistake, contact the host – they have verification and tracking tools.

Your code is not lost

After redeeming, the reward moves to the “Claimed” tab in your profile. If you open it there again, the button reads “View Confirmation Code” – so your code stays available for good. No need to panic if you close it in between.

Example

The prize at the prize table, 10:30 pm.

Your tenth photo unlocks a real reward, and the banner “Congratulations!” appears at the top.

1. You are on the dance floor, so you tap “Dismiss” on the banner. That dismisses only the suggestion, not the reward — it stays in your profile under Redeemable.
2. Half an hour later at the prize table: avatar in the top right → My Profile → tap the chip “1 redeemable” at the top of the profile header → open the gold-bordered card.
3. Now — and genuinely only now, standing in front of the host — tap “Confirm Receipt” and then “Yes, Confirm Receipt” in the warning dialog. The “Redemption Confirmed!” dialog shows your code, for example 418207; “Copy Code” puts it on the clipboard.
4. Show the code, take the prize, “Close”.

Need the code again the next day? Profile → “Claimed” tab → open the reward → “View Confirmation Code”.

The most common mistake is doing step 3 on the dance floor: the confirmation cannot be undone, and a reward cannot be redeemed twice.

Edge cases & troubleshooting

When something does not work

• “Out of Stock”: when stock is 0 the button is disabled and the reward disappears from the banner and the Redeemable tab. In the overview it then reads “Out of stock”. Ask the host whether more will be added.
• I was near the top but got no reward: prizes for placements don’t run through this page but through the leaderboard’s winner mode – see Points & rewards.
• No banner visible: either the feature is off (the host enables it under Settings → Features), there is no physical reward pending, or you tapped “Dismiss” on the banner – then look in your profile under Redeemable.
• Redeemable tab missing in the profile: it appears only when at least one pending redeemable reward exists and only on your own profile.
• Reward not visible after unlocking: only physical rewards appear; purely digital or virtual achievements are not real rewards.
• Someone else’s profile: on other guests’ profiles you see their achievements but no redeem button – only your own rewards are redeemable.
• Lost the code? Profile → “Claimed” tab → open the reward → “View Confirmation Code”.

For moderators & hosts

This entire flow is for you as a guest on your own profile. The host side – checking the code, managing stock, verifying the redemption – is a separate flow.

If you are a moderator or host, you reach the management area via the profile menu at the top right (Management section → Moderation or Admin Portal, visible only with the matching role).

The profile menu takes you to your profile – and, as a moderator/host, into the management area. ① your points and solved tasks, ② Profile options with My Profile, Language, Theme and Help, ③ Management with Account Settings, Moderation and Admin Portal – this section is missing until you hold a role for it, ④ Account with Sign out.
